About the race

Find Your Way Home is an event in Christchurch where teams of two are blindfolded and transported by bus to an unknown location. After the bus stops and the blindfolds are removed, each team must navigate back to the finish using only their own decisions; there is no marked course, no directions, and no GPS.

The organiser limits entries to 100 teams of two. The route back to the finish is variable and described as about 21 km or more, depending on where teams are dropped. The exact finish location will be advised by the organiser.

Key facts:

  • Teams of two.
  • Entry limited to 100 teams.
  • Approximate distance back to the finish: 21 km or more.
  • No course markings, directions, or GPS allowed.
  • Participants are blindfolded during transport and released at an unknown drop point in Christchurch.

The format emphasises navigation and decision making rather than a defined running course. The event combines travel by bus while blindfolded with subsequent independent route-finding through Christchurch to return to the designated finish.
