6th Annual Fidelis Militus Obstacle 5K
The Fidelis Militus Obstacle 5K is an annual obstacle run held at 295 Tallulah Gorge Scenic Loop, staged at Tallulah Falls Middle School. This edition is the sixth running of the event and uses the school cross country course as its route.
The course runs on school grounds with parking adjacent to the start and finish area. Obstacles are placed along the route and may be completed or bypassed at each participant's discretion. Close-toed shoes are required. Water will be provided on site, and organizers indicated they hope to have food trucks available and advised attendees to have cash available. A course preview video is available as a drone flyover of the TFS cross country course.
Proceeds and donations from the event benefit a memorial scholarship foundation established to honor a former Tallulah Falls School student and ROTC cadet. The foundation is an official 501c3 and directs funds toward scholarships for graduating seniors at Tallulah Falls School and surrounding counties, and toward support for ROTC cadets at Clemson and other colleges and universities. The Fidelis Militus event name is translated as Faithful Soldier and is presented separately from Tallulah Falls School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
