About the race
Exeter Half Marathon and the Riverside 5 are organised by Exeter City Community Trust and take place in Exeter, starting from Piazza Terracina and using routes that run along the city Quayside and through Riverside Valley Park. The half marathon is a two-lap course covering the standard half marathon distance. Both race days are open to all and have an extended maximum completion time of 3 hours 30 minutes.
Participants receive a bespoke finisher medal on completion. Entries using charity places require a minimum fundraising pledge of £200 for the half marathon and £80 for the Riverside 5, excluding gift aid. England Athletics members receive discounted entry for UKA licensed events organised by the trust.
Age requirements are set for each event: the half marathon is for those over 17 years old, and the 5 mile event is for those over 15 years old. The Riverside 5 route finishes at Haven Banks and follows sections of the Quayside and Riverside Valley Park.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon 21.10 km
- Riverside 5 Miles 5 miles
The events are scheduled across a weekend in early February and are organised to support sports participation and wellbeing activities in the local community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
