Exeter Half Marathon & Riverside 5
The Exeter Half Marathon and the Riverside 5 are running events organised by Exeter City Community Trust that take place on consecutive days in February. The half marathon is a two-lap 13.1 miles course that starts from Piazza Terracina, Haven Road and follows the Exeter Quayside and the Riverside Valley Park before returning to Haven Banks. The Riverside 5 runs along the Quayside and through the Riverside Valley Park to the same finish area.
Both events provide finisher medals. The half marathon has a maximum completion time of 3 hours 30 minutes. Minimum age requirements are specified for each distance: the half marathon requires participants to be over 17 years old and the 5 mile event requires participants to be over 15 years old.
Entry options include charity places with minimum fundraising pledges or standard entry through the event booking process. Minimum fundraising pledges stated are £80 for the Riverside 5 and £200 for the half marathon, excluding gift aid. England Athletics members receive a discounted entry for UKA licensed events.
Course information and event materials are published for participants and include race instructions, a route map, marshal point information, and a certificate of course accuracy. Results are shared via Webscorer. On-course support and finish area facilities typically include water stations, medical assistance, toilets, a recovery area and a bag store.
