Exe Estuary

The Exe Estuary running events take place in Budleigh Salterton on Sunday 13th June 2027. The event offers several distances and uses multi-terrain routes in East Devon that include Coast Path, Riverside Trails, country lanes and Estuary Paths. The start and finish are by the beach at Budleigh Salterton. All finishers receive a bespoke metal Exe Estuary medal and an optional event T-shirt is available. The routes are fully marked and marshalled and there are well stocked aid stations along the courses.

Distances:

  • 50k: starts with a five mile River Otter loop then joins the marathon route
  • Marathon: out and back route using South West Coast Path trails and Exe Estuary to Topsham
  • Half Marathon: five mile River Otter loop then out and back on the coast path turning at Orcombe Point

The 50k and marathon combine multiple terrain types while the half marathon is majority on trails. Entry information and further details are scheduled to open in early July 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
