Epney Trail Run
The Epney Trail Run is a small-scale, community trail race in the village of Epney, Gloucestershire. The course covers approximately 10 miles (16 km) with around 70 m of elevation gain and starts and finishes near The Anchor Inn.
The route is a clearly marked circular loop that follows the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal towpath and local public footpaths, including sections of the Severn Way. Terrain is predominantly flat and off road, with a mix of towpath and trail surfaces. Underfoot conditions may vary with weather and can include uneven or muddy sections. A GPX file of the route will be provided in advance.
The event is marshalled at key points, includes one aid station approximately halfway, and has first aid provision in place. Participants are responsible for their own safety and must follow instructions from the organiser and marshals. The route remains open to members of the public and runners must show consideration to other path users.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under the rules of UK Athletics. The minimum age to enter is 17 on the day of the race. At least £3 from every entry supports the Canal & River Trust. Entry fees are £25 or £23 for UKA affiliated entries. The event is organised by Natural Pace Running.
