Elver Park Trail Run
The Elver Park Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Elver Park in Madison, 1250 McKenna Blvd, Madison WI 53719. The event offers multiple race categories on marked natural-surface trails that begin and end behind the Main Shelter.
Distances:
- 10K run
- 5K run or walk
- 1K kids fun run, free and usually led by a large friendly rabbit or bear
The 5K and 10K share an initial loop west from the shelter. 5K participants return directly to the shelter to finish while 10K participants continue onto an additional segment on the park's east side. All courses are marked with flags and signage. The kids 1K follows the Valley Loop path and includes a friendly animal leader plus several volunteer sweeps to help ensure participants stay on course.
Entry fees are listed by registration period. Pre registration fees and race day fees differ for adults and students. Registrations made by late October 2026 include a T shirt. Timing will be recorded by hand and results will be posted later the same day.
A raffle takes place after the races with prizes including a treadmill courtesy of Johnson Health Tech. Extra raffle entries and donations to the Trailblazer Fund are available; there is an option to purchase three raffle tickets for $50. A social gathering with snacks, drinks, and yard games follows the races. Volunteers and bakers are requested to support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
