EDT XC SHOWDOWN
The EDT XC Showdown is a youth cross country meet scheduled for October 11, 2026 at Aurora Sports Park, 19300 E Colfax Ave., Aurora CO 80011. Boys and girls run together in combined races and are separated into age divisions for results and awards.
All courses use the same start and finish area. Courses are flat with smooth sweeping turns and are designed to be spectator friendly. Distances offered include:
- 2k: perimeter of the East Platform, no creek crossing
- 3k: branches from the 2k and adds a creek crossing and a north picnic loop
- 4k: follows the 3k layout with an additional 1k loop after the creek crossing; spike friendly
- Open 3k: community and coaches category
In the event of snow or heavy rain, the meet will move off the soccer platform to backup courses. If backup courses are used, all distances would include the creek crossing and alternative maps will be provided before the race.
Awards are given to the top ten athletes in each age and gender division. Age/gender categories include Open/Community Male and Female, 13/14, 11/12, 9/10, and 8 and under. Awards are presented at the awards podium immediately after each race concludes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
