EDT XC SHOWDOWN
The EDT XC Showdown is a youth cross country meet on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Aurora Sports Park, 19300 E Colfax Ave., Aurora, CO 80011. Races use a common start and finish area and boys and girls run in combined races separated by age divisions.
All courses are flat, feature smooth sweeping turns, and are described as spectator friendly. Course specifics:
- 2k - follows the perimeter of the East Platform and does not use the creek crossing.
- 3k - branches from the 2k, includes a creek crossing (may be dry or up to about 12 inches deep) and a loop around the north picnic area before returning to the 2k route.
- 4k - follows the 3k layout and adds an extra 1k loop after the creek crossing; this course is spike friendly.
Age divisions and associated distances include an open/community 3k and youth divisions for 13/14, 11/12, 9/10, and 8 and under, with distances assigned by division. In the event of snow or heavy rain, the meet will use backup courses on the park platform; those alternate courses would include the creek crossing for all distances and corresponding maps will be provided if needed.
Awards are given to the top 10 athletes in each age and gender division and are presented at the awards podium immediately after each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
