Eastern States 100

The Eastern States 100 is a single-loop ultramarathon of 103 miles held in Pennsylvania's Wilds. The course circumnavigates the Pine Creek watershed and includes more than 20,000 feet of climbing on trail terrain. The route is described through maps, charts, and a detailed course narrative.

The event provides aid stations and publishes aid station information and data visualization. Much of the course has little to no cell service, and a runner tracking system displays aid station splits, departure times, and race status to account for limited connectivity. Race rules specify that crews and spectators are permitted only at designated crew-access aid stations as required by permits.

The race is organized by the Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance, which also manages other trail events such as the Ironstone 100K and the Eagleton Trail Challenge, and promotes trail running and responsible use of public lands. Registration for the 2027 race opens October 1, 2026 at 6 PM Eastern. A 2026 participant guide and other race information documents are available for competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
