Mortimer 10km
The Mortimer 10 km is a two-lap multi terrain trail race that starts and finishes on Mortimer Fairground. The route uses local footpaths and bridleways through woodland, with largely off road surfaces.
The course is undulating and uneven in places and is not suitable for pushchairs, buggies or wheelchairs. Terrain is approximately 85 percent off road, with about 85 m of elevation gain, no water stations on course, and a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes.
There is a canicross 10 km option with a separate mass start and a stated capacity of 40 entries. Minimum age for the 10 km is 16. Entries are subject to a capacity limit and may close when that limit is reached. Staggered starts, social distancing and other Covid safe measures are listed for event management, and walking events and a 1 km fun run are not included where Covid requirements apply.
Included services and facilities that are noted for the event are a medal, chip timing, free downloadable race photos, prizes, ample toilets and onsite car parking. Additional offerings have included a massage service priced at £10 for 10 minutes and local food and drink vendors.
