Dirty Feet Trail Run - Kamloops
The Dirty Feet Trail Run takes place in Kenna Cartwright Park in Kamloops and is scheduled for September 26, 2027. Three distances are offered:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21 km
Kenna Cartwright Park has over 25 km of trails with views of the Thompson River valley and Kamloops Lake. Trail vegetation includes sagebrush and shaded tree sections; birds, deer, and coyotes are frequently seen in the park. Trails combine roots, rocks and dirt. Much of the route uses double track to allow passing, with stretches of single track and some hill sections.
Aid station provisions differ by distance: the 5 km course has no aid stations; the 10 km course includes one aid station at about 7 km; the 21 km course has one aid station near 10 km and supplies at the finish. Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolyte drink, gummies, jelly beans, coffee and chips. 21 km participants are advised to carry additional water for the ridge trail.
Race merchandise such as shirts, hoodies and hats will be available for purchase at the event; cash and credit cards are accepted. Optional participant medals can be purchased in advance for $10 or on race day for $15. Race packages are available for pick-up on Friday September 24 (4:00–6:00 pm) and Saturday September 25 (11:00 am–1:00 pm) at Runners Sole, Unit 74, 1395 Hillside Drive in Kamloops; out-of-town packages may be picked up on race day. Entry fees range from $40 to $65 and increase on January 1 and September 19. Online registration closes September 25, 2027. No refunds; transfers to another 2027 event are allowed if requested at least two weeks before the event.
Prizes are awarded to the top three in each category by gender, and winners must be present to collect prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
