Dingess Tunnel and Trail 5K
The Tunnel and Trail 5K is a running race in Dingess, West Virginia on 09/26/2026. The course covers about 3 miles and includes passage through the Dingess Tunnel, which was built in 1892, as well as nearby roads and trails.
Registration opens on June 24, 2026 and closes on July 10, 2026. The registration fee is $20. Every registered runner will receive an official Dingess Tunnel and Trail 5K T shirt while supplies last.
Participant parking is available at Muncy Bottom, located approximately 0.5 miles from the Dingess Tunnel trailhead. Parking attendants and directional signage will be available on race day. Participants are asked to allow extra time to walk from the parking area to the starting line; carpooling is encouraged because parking near the tunnel entrance is limited. Additional race day instructions, maps, and shuttle information will be communicated prior to the event if provided.
Any additional donation beyond the registration fee will go directly to the East Fork of Twelve Pole Volunteer Fire Department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
