Desert Runner Trail Series
The Desert Runner Trail Series is a sequence of trail and ultra running events presented by Aravaipa Running and Maricopa County Regional Parks. The series tours multiple Maricopa County regional parks in the Valley of the Sun and is scheduled from October 2026 through April 2027. A discounted entry option is available for registering for the full Fall or Spring series.
Events take place at parks across the region, including Cave Creek Regional Park, Usery Mountain Regional Park, McDowell Mountain Regional Park, San Tan Mountain Regional Park, sections of the Maricopa Trail and Tonto National Forest, White Tank Mountain Regional Park, and Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Each race day offers multiple distance options, with some events featuring ultra distances up to 50 miles and shorter trail distances down to 2 Miles.
