Derby Running Festival 2027
The Derby Running Festival takes place on 1 August 2027 at Elvaston Castle Country Park near Derby. The event offers measured, Run Britain / UKA licensed races across multiple distances and uses chip timing with official results.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The course follows a flat multi‑terrain route on a mixture of trail, tarmac and footpaths through the grade II listed grounds of Elvaston Castle, passing the hall and the Golden Gates. Each kilometre is marked and marshals are positioned on course. There is a four hour cut off for the event.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. An event village offers food and drink options, portable toilets and a secure baggage marquee; baggage tags attach to race numbers for collection. Water is provided on each lap and at the finish.
Parking is available on site with a showground overflow car park used for the event; the main car park becomes pay and display after the event. Minimum ages are 11 for the 5K, 15 for the 10K and 17 for the half marathon. The course and event logistics are not suitable for wheelchairs or prams and dogs are not permitted for runners or spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
