Derby Derwent Trail Run

The Derby Derwent Trail Run is set within Elvaston Castle Country Park and uses parkland for both the start and finish areas. The event offers three marked trail distances and mapped courses with recorded elevation gains.

The route runs through woodland trails, open parkland and riverside paths, including extended sections alongside the River Derwent. The surface is predominantly trail and grass with some firm footpaths. Hazards and road junctions on course are marked with caution signs; directional wayfinding uses pink arrows and pink tape.

Finisher's medals are provided to all finishers. The event uses chip timing and provides water stations, course marshals, on-course first aid cover and an event centre with additional first aid support. An event photographer records participants on the course.

Practical information for participants includes on-site bib collection on arrival and a requirement to bring a QR code for registration. The event operates a plastic-free policy at water stations and requests participants bring a reusable cup or bottle. Spectators are welcome.
