Défi des escaliers SP : description
The Défi des escaliers SP will hold its sixth edition on September 27, 2026, in the St‑Sacrament sector of Trois-Rivières. The event offers four distances: 1 km, 5 km, 12 km, and 17 km, each including several staircases and a fixed number of steps.
- 1 km: 2 staircases, 94 steps
- 5 km: 7 staircases, 369 steps
- 12 km: 10 staircases, 585 steps
- 17 km: 17 staircases, 954 steps
There is participant reception for bib pickup and circuit instructions, and a medal presentation after the activities. Starts are organized in waves for the 5 km to separate faster runners and walkers. The event holds Gold sanctioning from Athlétisme Québec.
Pilaterra offers three 40-minute Pilates sessions at 25 $ each; participants should bring a mat and the profits will go to SP Canada - Mauricie. Places are limited for these sessions.
The event is organized by SP Canada with coorganization by Progrès 100 limites. Its purpose is to raise funds for people affected by multiple sclerosis and to support research and services. Current fundraising shows 3,665 $ raised toward a 40,000 $ goal. Registration fees vary by distance and period: 1 km 8 $ to 20 $, 5 km 35 $ to 55 $, 12 km and 17 km 45 $ to 65 $.
