Deer Creek Half Marathon
The Deer Creek Half Marathon starts and finishes at the Deer Creek Dam Trailhead and runs along the shoreline of Deer Creek Reservoir. The course follows trails beside the lake and offers views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains.
The event is presented as a trail run with rolling hills and is described as accessible for first-time trail runners while also providing varied terrain for more experienced participants.

Course and support details: the route is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Aid stations are stocked with water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and assorted snacks. Free race photos will be provided by a photographer using bib recognition, and photos are delivered without a watermark.
Logistics and extras: packet pickup is available Friday 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Salt Lake Running Company, 8946 S State St, Sandy, UT; race day packet pickup begins early morning at the trailhead. Free parking is available near the pavilion. Participants receive a quality race shirt plus a locally made finisher medal and age-group medals. Post-race food includes items from Great Harvest Bread and beverages. Overall male and female top finishers receive custom topographic plaques and first-place prize support from Salt Lake Running Company.
