2026 Death Valley Trail Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K
The 38th annual event is a trail marathon, half marathon and 10K held in Titus Canyon within Death Valley National Park. The run starts and finishes at the west end of Titus Canyon where it meets Scotty's Castle Road. The course follows a single dirt road through the canyon.

Course format and aid
The half marathon goes into the canyon to an aid station at about mile 6.5 and returns to the finish. The marathon continues past that aid station to a mile 8 turnaround, returns to the aid station at the Titus Canyon entrance near mile 13, proceeds to a mile 18 turnaround, and then returns to the finish.
Aid stations for the marathon are located at approximately miles 3, 6.5, 9.5, 12, 15.5 and 18. Half marathon aid stations are at approximately miles 3, 6.5 and 10. Stations are stocked with water, lemonade, sports bars and sweet and salty snacks. Energy gels are not provided and must be carried by runners if needed; gel wrappers should be disposed of at aid stations. No private support is allowed along the trail.
Logistics and rules
The field is limited to 200 participants under National Park Service rules. Course cutoff time is 6 hours, with specified pace limits for marathon and half marathon entrants. Portable toilets are placed at the start finish and at several locations along the course. Headphones and earbuds are not allowed. Bibs are picked up at race morning athlete check in. Parking is available at the Ranch at Furnace Creek and buses shuttle participants between Furnace Creek and the race start; return shuttles operate on demand.
Registration is non refundable and non transferable. If the event is cancelled, a credit toward a future race will be provided under the organizer policy.
Participant items and awards include event T shirts for all, finisher medals for marathon and half marathon finishers, and age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
