About the race
The Dartmoor Diary event is the third in a series of smaller challenge events based on Dartmoor, organised by LDWA - Cornwall and Devon. It is scheduled for Sunday 19 September 2027 and takes place on Dartmoor. Entries open on 1 January 2027 and close on 24 August 2027.
Entry fee for LDWA members is listed as £20.00. The event will offer multiple routes; specific courses are to be confirmed. All routes will be covered by the OS Explorer OL28 Dartmoor map (1:25 000). Entrants must be able to read a map and follow compass bearings and must have sufficient knowledge, experience, equipment and navigational skills to take part in all conditions, including poor weather.
Participants are required to follow the Dartmoor Ranger Code and the Countryside Code at all times. Dogs are not permitted except for registered disability assistance dogs. Route descriptions and GPX files will be emailed to entrants prior to the event. Certificates will be provided on the day to those who complete the walk.
