Dark & Dirty Nighttime 10k Trail Run
The Dark & Dirty Nighttime 10k Trail Run is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at the Liederkranz German Singing & Sports Club, 143 Spook Lane, Reading, PA. The event is a night trail race over rustic, mostly double- and triple-track trails that are described as less technical and wider than typical singletrack.
The course is wheel measured and participants must provide their own illumination on trail sections; headlamps, flashlights or other personal light sources are expected. Organizers will mark turns with glowing markers and provide one or two water stops with unusual beverage options. The finish area is at the Liederkranz club, which offers indoor restrooms, a covered pavilion, food, music and a German BeerGarten where beer and other beverages are available for purchase.
Online registration is required on pretzelcitysports.com; a nominal processing fee may apply and online signups close during race week. Early registration pricing applies through October 25, 2026 with higher fees thereafter and on race day. Race day transactions are cash or check only; shirts and awards will not be mailed and refunds are not available. The event runs rain or shine though lightning may cause delays.
Age and safety rules: runners under 18 must have a parent present and runners under 16 must have an accompanying person committed to running the entire race. Dogs are allowed if kept on a very short leash, positioned toward the back for the first quarter mile, and physically capable of finishing.
