Cuyamaca 100K
The Cuyamaca 100K is a 100-kilometer trail race held on October 2, 2027 in Julian, California, within Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, about one hour east of San Diego. The course starts and finishes at Camp Cuyamaca off Highway 79 and is organized as three distinct loops with minimal backtracking.
The first and longest loop is roughly 31.5 miles on the park's western side and approaches Cuyamaca Peak, the park high point at about 6,500 feet. The second loop is about 12.6 miles and traverses the southeast corner of the park near Oakzanita Peak. The final loop of approximately 18.3 miles moves through the northern section of the park, briefly leaves the park into Anza Borrego, follows the Pacific Crest Trail with desert views, and returns through the northern meadows to Camp Cuyamaca.
The 2027 Cuyamaca 100K is a 2028 Western States qualifying race. Registration opens April 1, 2027 at 12:00 AM PT. Organizers request volunteers and collect volunteer information via a volunteer form. Runners who receive waitlist invitations after July 30 should note that requested shirt sizes may not be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
