Culzean Castle Trail Runs - 7 March 2027
Wild Deer Events returns to Culzean Castle and Country Park in Maybole, Ayrshire for the third edition of its trail race day on 7 March 2027. The event takes place on the Culzean estate, a 642 acre property with gardens, beaches, woodland and trails. The estate includes a Swan Pond, ice house, formal gardens and fruit glasshouses, and the castle sits on the Ayrshire cliffs as a landmark on the route.
Distances on offer include a selection of trail runs with minimum age requirements:
- 5km Trail Run (ages 11+)
- 10km Trail Run (ages 15+)
- Half Marathon Trail Run (ages 17+)
The event is Canicross friendly and permits one controlled dog per runner. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An event T shirt is available to purchase for £14.
Parking requires a pass at £6 per vehicle; the pass includes access to the grounds for entrants and spectators. Entrants will be contacted before the event with parking details. A parking pass is required even for National Trust Scotland members because the event starts outside the usual opening times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
