Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra
The event runs from 04 June 2027 to 05 June 2027 and takes place on the Ayrshire Coast, starting and finishing at Irvine Beach (Beach Dr, Irvine KA12 8). The route follows beaches, promenades and trails and is an out-and-back ultra of 50 km (25 km out and back).
Aid stations are located at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km with water, sweets, cake and crisps available. A drop-bag option is offered for collection at the 25 km point. The course will be clearly marked and a GPX file will be provided in the race pack for those who wish to use navigation on a watch. All road crossings are marshalled and participants are asked to remove earphones and follow instructions at all times.
Pre-race registration takes place at Irvine Beach car park and numbers and optional drop-bag stickers will be issued. Gender-neutral toilet facilities will be available. Tea and coffee will be offered for charitable donation.
Post-race provisions include unique medals and goody bags for every finisher, prizes for standard categories and a Polaroid photo with medal for each finisher. Toilets, tea, coffee and food will be available for charitable donation. Full race packs will be emailed before the event with required kit, course maps and advice for supporters. Financial support options are available for those on lower incomes through the event organiser Run Llama.
