Cruel Jewel 100

The Cruel Jewel 100 is a long-distance foot race held in the Chattahoochee National Forest within the North Georgia Mountains, with start and finish in the Camp Morganton / Blue Ridge area. The full course measures 103.54 miles, composed of approximately 94 miles of trails and 10 miles of mountain roads, and it passes through terrain that includes technical single track, steep ascents and descents, rocks, roots, ridge lines, fern-lined sections, and old growth poplar trees.

Runners traverse a route from Blue Ridge to Blairsville and back, encountering features such as an historic steel bridge over the Toccoa River and a section known as the Dragon's Spine. The course includes 20 aid stations and cumulative elevation figures of roughly 33,000 feet of gain and 33,000 feet of loss.

The event is organized by DUMAssEvents. Entry requires meeting qualifying standards and complying with eligibility requirements. Strict cut off times are enforced at all aid stations for safety. Live tracking and bib assignments are provided in the week of the race, and a runners manual for the year is made available on the organizer website prior to the event. The race is listed as a qualifier for Western States 100 and for HARDROCK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
