About the race
CRR Confederation Park X/C Relay takes place Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Rosemont Hall in Calgary. The event features a kids race and a team relay on groomed grass within Confederation Park. Distances: - Kids race: 1 km on groomed grass. - Relay: 3 × 3 km figure-eight course on groomed grass with two tunnel runs and two shallow creek crossings; runners should expect wet feet. The relay is run by three-person teams with each member completing the same route. Team categories include OPEN, MASTERS (all runners 40 years or older), YOUTH (all runners 17 years or younger) and SCHOOL/CLUB (all runners 17 years or younger; team name must include the school).
Categories offer Male, Female and Mixed options; a Family category is listed for OPEN. Pre-registration is available online and a paper registration form and waiver must be completed for race day if not pre-registered. All runners must sign a release waiver; parents or guardians must sign for minors. Team captains pick up bibs for their team and pay the entry fees in cash at bib pickup; bring safety pins as supplies are limited.
Entry fees per runner are: $12 general, $8 Calgary Roadrunner members, $6 full-time students, and $0 for the Kids 1K race. Amenities include washrooms in Rosemont Community Hall. Hot soup, rolls and beverages will be served after the race; participants are asked to bring a dessert to share and to bring a mug, bowl and spoon to reduce waste.
