Cross Keys Road and Fell Relay

The Cross Keys Road and Fell Relay is a team relay for four runners combining road and fell legs. Teams consist of two road legs and two fell legs, with road legs run as two laps of a hilly circuit and the fell leg as a single lap over an undulating course on Saddleworth Moor. The format was created to bring road and fell runners together.

Event location is the Cross Keys Inn, Uppermill, Saddleworth OL3 6LW. Entrants are asked not to use the pub car park.

Entry is through SiEntries and requires a competitor login or registration. Entries open 28 January 2026 and close 18 September 2026. Entry fee is £20 per team.

Category rules cover age and gender combinations, including Men Open, Women Open, Mixed, Men Vets (40+), Women Vets (40+), Juniors (age 16 or 17), and an any-combination category (no prize). All categories require competitors to meet the stated age criteria.

Kit: no specific kit required for road legs. Fell legs require preparedness to carry full body cover in bad weather and there will be a kit check at the start.
