Valiant PT Cross Country Challenge 6k : Evanston
The event takes place at Lovelace Park at Gross Point Road and Thayer Street in Evanston, Illinois on August 30, 2026. Organizers are Valiant Physical Therapy for Runners and Illinois Prep Top Timing. The main course consists of three all-grass loops on a public cross-country course.
Distances offered:
- Main event: 3.62 miles (approximately 6 km)
- 4th grade and younger scholastic race: 1.3 miles
- 5th grade and older scholastic races: 2 miles
Entry options and fees are provided in several windows. Early bird entry through July 31 is Adults $30 and 14-and-under $25. Regular entry from August 1 through August 30 is Adults $35 and 14-and-under $30. Race day entries are $40. Scholastic event entry fees follow the same fee structure and scholastic registration is handled through Athletic.net. Team entries are permitted for clubs or pickup teams of three or more runners; individual entries are also accepted.
Race entries include a performance-mesh shirt with short- or long-sleeve options. Scholastic race shirts are short sleeve in youth sizes S, M, L. The event includes an awards presentation and a post-race gathering with burgers and brats for runners and volunteers. Volunteer roles are listed for course setup, marshals, grill and teardown.
