Cloudcroft Ultra 53K
The Cloudcroft Ultra is a set of trail races held in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, organized by Wanderlust Running and based at the Pavilion in Zenith Park. Races use the historic Rim Trail (T105), an out-and-back single-track and rail‑bed route through stands of fir, pine and quaking aspen with sustained mountain views above the Tularosa Basin. The 53K includes an additional lollipop loop near the summit segment.

The 53K course has six aid stations and permits drop bags at two locations near mile ~13 and mile ~20. The 9.5 mile course has two aid stations. Crew access is allowed at Aid Stations 1/6 and 3/4 with directions provided for Sunspot Highway and Alamo Peak Road. All distances use chip timing. Packet pickup opens Friday 5:00–6:00 pm at the Pavilion in Zenith Park and again on Saturday morning about 45 minutes before each race.
All finishers receive a custom shirt and a finisher medal. Shirt sizes are guaranteed only for early registrants. Registration is non refundable. The event is the second race in the Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series and is held at high elevation, approximately 8,600 feet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
