Clipston Trail Half and Country 5 Miler
The Clipston Trail Races take place in the countryside around Clipston on Sunday, 20th September 2026. The event comprises a half marathon and a country 5-mile race run mainly on bridleways, footpaths and short sections of minor country roads.
The course starts opposite the pavilion in Clipston and moves quickly uphill into open countryside. The route includes rolling terrain and offers views across Northamptonshire; total ascent for the half marathon is 237 m. The final section from Kelmarsh back to Clipston is on a footpath. A route overview and GPX file are provided by the organiser.
Race facilities and logistics include:
- Half marathon (entry fee £25.00)
- Country 5 Miler (entry fee £18.00)
Competitors must be at least 17 on the day. Online entries close the Wednesday before the race and transfers close the Sunday before. Numbers and timing chips are available to collect on race morning and race packs are not posted. There are four water stations on the half marathon route and one on the 5-miler; participants are asked to bring their own cup for refills. Free parking is available on site and additional parking is provided in the field opposite the recreation ground.
All finishers receive a medal and homemade cakes provided by the village W.I. Proceeds support the Clipston Recreation Field Trust for maintenance and local facilities, including future replacement of the tennis courts.
