Trail Running in High Cliff State Park
The Cliff Runner 10K takes place in Sherwood, Wisconsin. This event features a 10 km trail run through the grounds of High Cliff State Park. The course is designed to traverse various natural sections of the park, including terrain with rocks, roots, and multiple hills. Participants can expect a total elevation gain of more than 500 feet throughout the duration of the race.
The route is focused on providing a trail experience within the state park environment. Because the event is held within a state-managed area, all participants are required to have a park pass. Those who do not possess an annual sticker must purchase a day pass for High Cliff State Park to enter the grounds.
Registration for the event includes several items for participants. Runners receive a Cliff Runner T-shirt and a finisher's medal upon completion. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the race is donated to the Purdy Nature Preserve located at the Apple Creek YMCA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
