Surrey - Spinning Around Run
Phoenix Running is organizing the Spinning Around Run at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey, KT12 2JG. The event offers a choice of timed distances and a series of spinning medals.
Participants run laps of a bold 5.3 km out-and-back course (3.28 miles) along the river Thames towpath. The surface is off-road trail on a riverside towpath and the overall course is flat with no elevation gain or loss.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km option
- 10 km option
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra distance
Runners may complete as many or as few laps as they like within a 7 hour time limit; the minimum distance recorded is 3.28 miles. The event operates a 'rock up and run' flexible start within a one hour window and can accommodate special start time requests depending on planned distance.
There are more than 10 medal choices from a series of giant spinning medals and many entries include a bespoke finisher's hat and medal. A lower-price no medal no hat entry option is available at £20. Standard entry fees shown are £37.95 for affiliated entries and £39.95 for unaffiliated entries. An aid station, same day results, athlete profiles, digital BIBs and digital finisher certificates are provided. Places will be strictly limited.
