Chichester Half Marathon
The Chichester Half Marathon is held around the city of Chichester and nearby South Downs. The race uses a part closed road route that starts in the city centre and passes several local landmarks, including Chichester Cathedral, the Market Cross and ancient Roman walls.
The course leaves the city for open trails across the South Downs and includes a climb to The Trundle, an Iron Age hill fort offering panoramic views across Chichester, Goodwood and the south coast. The route then returns toward the city with a downhill section along Centurion Way, a fast and scenic approach back to the finish.
The event offers multiple distances and options:
- 21k Half Marathon
- 12k Medium route
- Inclusive Mile
Facilities reported for the event include chip timing, water stations, course marshals, first aid cover and event photography. Participants collect race numbers at the event centre, which is located at Chichester College, Westgate Fields. Various town centre car parks and college parking are available; attendees should check local parking charges and restrictions. The event operates a plastic free policy and provides on-course water stations that use reusable cups or bottles. Finishers receive a metal finisher medal.
