Centurion Chiltern Wonderland 50
The Chiltern Wonderland 50 is a single 50 mile loop through the Chiltern Hills, starting and finishing at Goring Village Hall in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. The route includes 5600 ft of climb and an equal amount of descent, and is roughly 80% trail and 20% road. The highest point on course is around 800 ft at Christmas Common.
The course is fully marked with Centurion ribbons and marker arrows so no navigation is required. There are five well stocked aid stations with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, and additional cut offs at those stations. Runners must finish within a 13 hour time limit.
Medical cover is provided with a static first aid team at the finish and at least one roving team on course. Pacers and crew are not permitted. Supporters are allowed only at specified locations.
Entry details note a fee of £115 or £117 for unattached runners. Entrants must meet a qualification standard: completion of a marathon distance event within that event's cut off since 1 January 2021. There will be no waiting list.
Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and will be checked. Required items include a charged mobile phone, minimum 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket, waterproof jacket with sealed seams, whistle, primary and backup headtorch of at least 100 lumens, a dry long sleeved top for emergency use and a cup. A time penalty may be applied for missing items.
All finishers receive a finisher medal. Prizes are awarded to top finishers by gender and veteran categories. Course record times are 6:18:15 for men and 7:13:19 for women, both set in 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
