Charm Bracelet 10K
The Charm Bracelet 10K is a trail running event that uses sections of the Cleveland Way between the fishing village of Skinningrove and Saltburn. The route starts and finishes in Skinningrove, climbs onto the cliffs to the iconic Charm Bracelet sculpture, descends into Saltburn, makes a small loop there, and then follows the Cleveland Way back to Skinningrove.
The event is named as a 10K but the described route measures 7.4 miles, which the organisers note is longer than a standard 10 km. The course has 890 ft of elevation, so it includes significant climbing.
The event is family friendly and open to people aged 15 and over. It welcomes both runners and walkers and does not allow dogs because of the agricultural nature of the Cleveland Way. A guide completion time of 2.5 hours is used and tail runners are provided to support participants.
Entry details listed for the event include standard and affiliate fees (£30 and £28), an optional T shirt (£8.50), and an option to plant a tree via Trees Not Tees instead of taking a tee. Entrance includes a finishers medal, water, and snacks at the marshaled checkpoint in Saltburn; snacks include flapjack and sweets and vegan and gluten free options are available. First aid is provided on the day. Bookings may be transferred up to four weeks before the event, entries may be deferred once to the following year, and refunds are not offered.
Trophies are awarded across multiple categories: 1st male, 1st female, 1st non-binary, 1st female U18, 1st male U18, 1st FV50, 60 & 70, and 1st MV50, 60 & 70. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
