Carlisle City Urban Trail Run
The Carlisle City Urban Trail Run takes place on 5 May 2027 at the Sands Centre in Carlisle, England. The event offers two measured race distances and uses a mix of on road and well established off road tracks.

The course starts close to Carlisle Cathedral on St Marys Gate and passes the Millennium Bridge, Carlisle Castle, Bitts Park and Rickerby Park, finishing close to lamp post No 6 at the back of the Sands Centre. A route map is provided for the course. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be available at the event headquarters on race day in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA).
Race registration at the Sands Centre will issue race numbers and timing chips. A race briefing will take place before the event. Live results will be published online and are typically available about 10 minutes after the race start.
Prizes are awarded to overall male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Age group prizes are awarded according to the number of competitors in each category: 1 to 17 competitors 1st place only, 18 to 27 competitors 1st and 2nd place, 28 or more competitors 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. If an age group finisher wins an overall prize the age group prize rolls down.
The event limit is 300 entrants and participants must be 15 years or older. Withdrawals up to 5 April 2027 are subject to a 50% charge. After that date refunds are not given. Transfers to another runner or to 2028 are allowed up to 28 April 2027.
