Mandatory items must be carried at all times and are checked on course. Required items include at least 1 L fluid capacity, a seam-sealed waterproof jacket, a basic first-aid kit, a charged cell phone with the race director's number, a whistle, a toque or buff, a course map, lighter or matches and a pocket knife. Aid stations offer water, Coke, ginger ale, Tailwind, snacks and night-time warm food such as broth and grilled cheese.
Check-in is at the Mabou Gaelic College gymnasium on the Friday before the race; there is a drop-bag deadline that evening. The refund policy sets deadlines for partial refunds and states no refunds after June 10, 2027. In case of event cancellation, options include deferral, partial refund or selling a spot. Volunteering for eight hours can defer an entry for some circumstances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
