Cannock Chase Forest Half Marathon & 10k
Cannock Chase Forest Half Marathon and 10k are trail events organised by Nice Work at Cannock Chase, Penkridge Bank Road, Rugeley, WS15 2UA. The race for 2027 is scheduled for 4 July and offers two distances.
The course runs on forest trails with hilly sections and woodland scenery. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download. The event was traditionally held in autumn and is being run in summer for the 2027 edition.
The organiser describes the route as suitable for a range of runners, from first time trail participants to experienced athletes. The event is presented as useful for runners following an ongoing training plan. Race HQ and the start are located just off Penkridge Bank Road within Cannock Chase; the Race HQ is not at the main GoApe visitor centre.
What is included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, free parking, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. On-the-day entry fees are listed as £35 for the Half Marathon and £30 for the 10k, subject to availability. Parking is provided on site at Takeroo and the area is also accessible by bicycle.
