Buckin' Hell - Mount Seymour
Buckin' Hell is a mountain trail race scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2027, with the start and finish at Mount Seymour Resort in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The event offers three course options:
- 35 km
- 50 km
- 50 km two person relay
The 50 km course records about 2600 m / 8530 ft of ascent and descent; the 35 km course lists about 2000 m / 6560 ft of ascent and descent. The course begins with a climb from the resort, includes a lower summit and a long descent of roughly 1200 m to the Seymour River, and finishes with a climb back up the opposite side. Runners follow a mix of old growth forest, bike trails and technical terrain and travel on named local routes such as Baden Powell, Mystery Lake, Severed, Brockton Lookout and Old Buck.
Aid stations and drop bag locations are shown on the course map; aid stations provide food and drink options including gels, waffles, energy drink, Coke, water and fruit. The race is cup free so participants need a personal cup for fluids. Poles are allowed from the start. Mandatory gear is listed as none.
A separate Kids Race of about 1 km is offered; it is un-timed, non-competitive, free to register, and primarily for children aged 3 to 10. Entries include a tree planted per entry, a small donation toward Bridle Path trail, race-branded items, post-race pizza and a finisher medal. The event acknowledges the ancestral, unceded territories of local Nations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
