Bobcat Trail Races
Bobcat Trail Races take place at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs and present trail running on an extensive urban park network. The courses pass rocky bluffs and single-track that provide views of the city and Pikes Peak. The event moved to Aravaipa Running management starting in 2024 after previously being produced by another promoter.
Distances offered
- 50K - 31.0 miles; 3,591 ft total elevation gain; max elevation 6,593 ft; 10 hour time limit.
- 25K - 15.36 miles; 1,796 ft total elevation gain; max elevation 6,590 ft; 9.5 hour time limit.
- 10K - 6.5 miles; 710 ft total elevation gain; max elevation 6,590 ft; 9 hour time limit.
- 5K - 3.68 miles; 400 ft total elevation gain; max elevation 6,555 ft; 8.5 hour time limit.
Course markings use orange ribbon with black polka dots and laminated directional signs that correspond to each race distance; non-race trails are marked with blue and white checkerboard ribbon. Aid station locations vary by distance; the 5K has no aid stations. Crews may support runners at the start and finish area and finish-line drop bags are available. Pacers are not allowed for any distance. Mandatory gear guidance includes carrying a reusable cup at aid stations and having an offline course map or downloaded GPX file. The event location is Palmer Park, 3650 Maizeland Rd, Colorado Springs, CO. Registration closes on October 12 and live split tracking is available during race weekend.
