Blackout 5k / 10k Mountain Race
The Blackout Mountain Race takes place at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, NH on November 7, 2026. This is the ninth edition of the event and it is held as a night trail race that requires headlamps.
The event offers two measured distances on a course of access roads and ski trails. The course will be marked with reflective flagging and LED lanterns. The longer distance precedes the shorter distance on the start line. Check-in and bib pickup are located at the Arlberg Children's Center; bibs include event swag.
Headlamps are required; participants are advised to use fresh batteries and carry a backup. Headlamps will also be available for purchase at registration. Organizers ask that the Cranmore waiver be completed before arrival to help speed registration.
After the running portions there is a post-race pizza and apres gathering, followed by awards. The event is presented by White Mountain Ski Company and lists an entry offer through its registration process.
