Blackout 5k / 10k Mountain Race

The Blackout Mountain Race is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is the ninth edition of the event. Check-in and bib pickup take place at the Arlberg Children's Center, and participants receive event swag with their bib.

The event offers two marked night courses that use a combination of resort access roads and ski trails. The course will be flagged with reflective materials and illuminated with LED lanterns; a tentative course map is available but may change depending on conditions. Headlamps are required; participants are advised to bring fresh batteries and a backup. Headlamps will also be available for purchase at registration.

The schedule includes post-race pizza and apres, followed by awards. Organizers request that attendees complete the Cranmore waiver before arrival to help speed registration. Online registration and volunteer signups are handled through UltraSignup. Volunteers are encouraged to assist during the event.

Course, timing, and other operational details are subject to change based on conditions and organizer decisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
