About the race
The Bill Bruno Alumni Cross Country Run is held at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, NJ. The event includes a traditional cross-country course used for both races and team scoring. It is hosted by the Shore A.C. and honors Bill Bruno.
Races offered:
- 5K on the traditional Holmdel Park course with mile markers at 1 and 2.
- 3K using the 5K start and finish lines with a marked turn-around point.
Team competition is available in both races. The 5K has three team categories: high school/college and alumni; club and open fun teams; and co-ed teams requiring at least one finisher of each gender. The 3K accepts teams of any kind. Team scoring uses each team’s top three finishers; fourth and fifth runners can displace other teams.
Timing and results use chip timing and live results. Custom awards will be presented near the finish for top individual and team finishers, including masters (40+) categories. Field size is limited and the first 150 entrants receive a commemorative event mug. Parking is available on site in multiple lots. Proceeds benefit the Shore Athletic Club, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting youth and teen track and distance running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
