Big Door Wine Run Turkey Trot 5k
The Big Door Wine Run Turkey Trot is a chip timed 5k run and walk at Big Door Vineyards, located at 125 Clearwater Trail, White, GA. The event is scheduled for November 7, 2026 and the course starts and finishes at the winery.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, online results, and a pour of wine. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the start.
The course is cross country style with areas of uneven footing. The route consists of two laps; participants are advised to be courteous on the second lap as runners may try to pass walkers. Walking is allowed.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each category. Categories are 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and Over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. There will be no awards ceremony; results are posted online and age group awards must be picked up at the registration table on the day of the event. Awards will not be shipped.
The event lists the Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up as the local charity partner. This volunteer non-profit works to improve Lake Allatoona water quality, safety, and recreational use and to represent lake users to local, state, and federal agencies.
Minor participants receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but not a wine glass or a pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on the site because USDA rules prohibit them on produce and vegetable farms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
