Bedrock Valley Trail Runs
Bedrock Valley Trail Runs takes place at Diamond Valley Lake near Hemet, California (2615 Angler Ave) on April 3–4, 2027. The event program includes multiple trail running distances, youth races, a stroller-only 5k, and gravel bike routes that circle the lake. The site has a paleontological history; remains of mastodons and other prehistoric animals were discovered in the bedrock where the lake now rests.
Race course notes from the organizer describe the trail marathon as a relatively flat loop around the lake ending on double track. The half marathon is an out-and-back section along the lake bed. Shorter running courses include a mix of flat, fast sections and double-track trail; several runs are out-and-back. The Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run is open to children 10 and younger, is non-timed, and awards a finisher medal. Gravel bike routes are laid out as one, two, or three laps around Diamond Valley Lake.
The event is operated as a cupless race series; aid stations do not provide cups. Participants are expected to carry their own hydration vessel for their event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
