Beaver Tail Trail 4 Miler : Pocahontas State Park
The Beaver Tail Trail 4 Miler is a 4 miles cross country style trail race held at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Virginia on September 26, 2026. The course circles Beaver Lake and uses wide fire roads and sections of single-track. Two short technical sections with roots are included, and the route features rolling hills.
The event is presented in association with the Chesterfield Outdoor Fest on National Public Lands Day. Park entry and parking are free on that day. Race operations include on-site packet pickup near the park Visitors Center and an early packet pickup option at the local running store the day before the race.
The race is conducted as a completely cupless event. Water and hydration are available at the start and finish area, and participants are asked to carry their own handheld bottle, vest, or reservoir if they need fluids during the run.
Sponsors and on-site partners include a footwear demo from Altra Running. Awards are planned for the top three overall male and female finishers and for top age group winners, with additional random gift card giveaways distributed among participants.
