Babler Bongo 15K Trail Race/15K RUCK
The Babler Bongo 15K Trail Race and 15K RUCK take place on October 24, 2026 at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, MO. The event is presented by Terrain Trail Runners and the field is capped at 75 entrants.
The course is a loop that starts and finishes at the Guy Park trailhead by the Henry Babler Enclosed Shelter and connects the Dogwood, Woodbine, Hawthorn, and Equestrian trails. Course distance is 15K with approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain. There is an overall time limit of 3.5 hours and additional enforced cutoffs on the out-and-back loop.
Two event options are offered:
- 15K Trail Run
- 15K RUCK (ruck division)
Ruck participants must carry a backpack, rucksack, or weighted vest that weighs at least 20 pounds, not counting water or food. All ruck division finishers receive a custom rucking patch, and $5 of each ruck registration is donated to DOGS for our BRAVE.
The course has one unmanned aid station at about 4.5 miles that provides only water. This is a cup free event; participants should carry their own handheld or hydration system and bring a collapsible cup or mug for water and post-race refreshments.
Online registration includes a custom blended fabric t shirt, finisher medal or rucking patch as applicable, and awards for top male, female, and non-binary finishers. The guaranteed swag order deadline is October 4, 2026. A race day registration option is available for an additional fee and is cash only.
