Dam Good Run
Dam Good Run is a trail running event held at Lake Pleasant Regional Park in Morristown, Arizona on Sunday, April 4, 2027. The event offers multiple distances over desert single-track and shoreline trails, with a course that reaches the New Waddell Dam.
Distances:
- 40K - includes new shoreline trails and an out-and-back to Yavapai Point
- 26K - part of the Sonoran Desert Cup on rugged single track
- 13K - single-track trail with climbs and rocky terrain
- 4 Mile - out-and-back on the Roadrunner Trail that crosses the dam
- 2 Mile - out-and-back to the visitor center at the dam
The 40K course includes a short guided raft crossing of a cove; life vests are provided. Only registered participants may cross the dam. Aid stations are positioned roughly every 1.6 to 5.4 miles, offering water, an electrolyte drink brand, snacks and fruit; some stations are designated as light or full. The event is cupless; reusable cups are available at registration or participants may bring their own. Race timing uses chip timing with results displayed at the finish. Crews may access start and finish areas only, there are no pacers, and there are no remote drop bag locations. On-site services include medical support, post-race food, awards for top finishers, and a charity beer garden supporting trail conservation efforts.
