Dam Good Run : Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Morristown AZ
Dam Good Run is a trail race day held on April 4, 2027 at Lake Pleasant Regional Park in Morristown, Arizona. The event offers multiple distances on desert single-track and shoreline trails.
Distances
- 40K : crosses New Waddell Dam; includes Yavapai Point and a short raft crossing
- 26K : rugged single-track with significant climbs, lake views, dam crossing
- 13K : single-track trails with climbs, descents, and dam access
- 4 Mile : out-and-back on Roadrunner Trail; crosses the dam and skirts the lake
- 2 Mile : out-and-back to the dam visitor center; remains near the shoreline
Courses are marked with ribboning, reflective medallions, and signs. Aid stations are spaced roughly every 1.6 to 5.4 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink brand, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; some stations are designated as light or full in food offerings. The event uses chip timing with live split points. The 40K route includes a short guided raft crossing of a cove with life vests provided; an alternate personal flotation option was previously noted.
Operational details include cupless race procedures with reusable cups available, crews allowed only at the start and finish, no pacers permitted, no remote drop bag locations, and medical support based at the start/finish. Parking is available at the 10 Lane Boat Ramp. Awards are given to top three men and women at each distance and all finishers receive a finisher award.
