APPLE-A-DAY 5K
The Apple-A-Day 5K takes place on September 12, 2026 in Mears, Michigan, at 629 N. 18th Ave., and is part of the Apple BBQ festival near Silver Lake. The course runs mainly on a wooded seasonal road close to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and is conducted as a run or walk.
The event is organized as a non-timed race. Awards are given to the overall male and overall female finishers, and there are random drawings for 16 participants. The race has been timed in the past, but it is now a fundraiser for a volleyball team; organizers stated they cannot efficiently track age group and gender results for this edition.
Registration information from the organizer: open registration begins March 1, 2026 and closes September 2, 2026. The stated registration fee is $25. Race day registration is available on the morning of the event at Mac Wood's Dune Rides. Participants registered by August 31 are guaranteed an official race t-shirt.
