About the race
Antelope Canyon Ultras is a trail running event in Page, Arizona on March 6, 2027. The event offers the following distances:
- 50 Mile
- 55K
- 30K
- Half Marathon
Courses traverse desert and canyon terrain around Page and the Page Rim Trail. Runners encounter deep sand, exposed slickrock, narrow slot canyons, sandy jeep roads, steep climbs, ladders, short scrambles, and some cable-assisted descents. Notable features along the routes include Antelope Canyon, Deer Canyon, Ligai Si Anii, Antelope Ridge, Horseshoe Bend, Marble Canyon, Lake Powell, and the Page "P".
Fully stocked aid stations are placed throughout each course and provide water, electrolyte drink mix, fresh-cut fruit, soda, and a variety of salty and sweet snacks; portable bathrooms are available. Aid stations more than 20 miles into a course may also offer salt caps, electrolyte caps, an anti-chafing agent, sunscreen, first aid supplies, and medical support. The event is cupless for cold drinks; runners must carry their own bottle, cup, or hydration system.
Crew access is allowed for 50 Mile and 55K runners only; pacers are allowed for 50 Mile runners only and must follow event registration and visibility rules. Drop bags are permitted for longer distances with size and labeling requirements and must be left by 7pm the night before the race. Bib pickup and the race expo take place the day before the race.
