Andover Trail Marathon
The event is a trail running meeting at McCallum Road, Upper Enham, Andover, Hampshire (SP11 6HZ). It offers multiple distances on North Hampshire terrain with climbs up to 280 m and long downhill sections through meadows, woodlands and valleys.
Distances:
- 10 km loop through Doles Wood, Stokehill Farm and Frenches Farm.
- Half Marathon 13.1 mile loop following the Testway to Hurstbourne Tarrant and back.
- Marathon 26.2 miles to Coombe Gibbet, the highest point in Hampshire, returning via Conholt estate.
- 50 km / Ultra 30 miles with extended sections through Oxenwood and the Pewsey Vale Circular.
The event includes a Military Cup open to serving military personnel only. Units may enter teams of up to four runners; multiple teams per unit are permitted. Teams compete in the half or the marathon and the unit with the fastest accumulated time wins the cup.
Course crews will mark the route the day before the event. Support on the course includes: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- Ultra: four aid stations.
- Marathon: three aid stations.
- Half: a fully stocked halfway aid station.
- 10 km: a water station at the halfway point. Marshals cover major road crossings and full medical support is provided along the route. All finishers receive medals; prizes are awarded to first, second and third male and female finishers. The event uses chip timing for results.
