Adventure Trail Run 12 hour

This event, organized by Athletic Equation Trail Series, takes place at Prince William Forest Park near Triangle, VA. The event listings include a 30 km option, a 12 hour format, and a two person relay.

The course is a 6.5 mile looped figure eight distinct from the organizer's 24 hour course. It is 100 percent trails, with a mix of single track and fire road. The approximate elevation gain and loss is 650 feet per loop. Terrain includes undulating hills with ascents and descents, and runners should expect rocks, roots, dirt, and mud if it rains.

Support on course is provided by two aid stations. The primary aid station at the start and finish offers a plentiful array of food. The second aid station provides water only. The event concludes with an awards ceremony and a post race meal for participants and crews.

Previous editions have reported substantial accumulated mileage on the park trails across multiple runnings, reflecting the event's repeated use of the park trail network. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
