Fernworthy and surrounding tors
This guided run follows a 10 mile route on paths, trails and open moorland around Fernworthy Forest near Newton Abbot in Devon. The route heads north via tors, standing stones, clapper bridges and stone circles before returning through wooded valleys and small hamlets along the Two Moors Way.
Parking is available in the forest car park which charges and has toilets. There are also a series of unpaved areas further on where vehicles can be left, with a request to park responsibly.
The organiser describes the outing as a slow adventure with many places for photographs, opportunities to learn about local history and space to chat about running on Dartmoor. The event has a stated entry fee of £5 until 14 November 2026. A service fee of 4 percent with a minimum of 50 pence applies to each sign up.
